The Burden of Having to Be Understood!
Even with all the advancements in science and technology, has no one ever thought of creating a device that could make someone else feel our pain—truly and completely? Not just hear it. Not just understand it. But feel it.
We live in a world where pain has become a mere excuse in the eyes of others. A society where our agony is either dismissed or questioned. Empathy has become rare—almost extinct. People don’t really wish to understand anymore. And until someone feels what we feel, our stories will always be just that—stories. Words often fail to do justice, and trying to convince others of our truth becomes a Herculean task—one that often leaves us feeling even more alone.
But then comes the question—why put in so much effort to be understood at all?
We’re told we are social beings, meant to connect, to share, to be seen. Yet, when you don’t fit their version of “social,” you’re treated like an alien. But maybe being an alien in a hollow society is far better than being socially accepted in a crowd that wears too many masks.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if there were a way to read minds? To transfer thoughts, feelings, emotions—pain—without words? That’s the kind of invention we really need. Not another app, not another gadget. But something that could finally strip the facades away. No more hiding for the hypocrites. The ones who truly need help would finally be seen and heard—without having to beg for it.
But how do we build something like that? With phoenix tears, maybe. Only something born from sorrow and rebirth could hold that kind of magic.
This world doesn’t need more noise. It needs depth. It needs truth. And it needs people who feel. I'm tired of having to perform pain in ways others can consume. Even those closest to us often demand explanations for our silence, our withdrawal, our wounds.
But here’s the thing—do we really need to convince anyone anymore?
If they don’t care, why should we?
Maybe it's time we stop reaching outward for validation. Maybe the focus needs to shift inward. Maybe being selfish—protecting our peace, setting boundaries, prioritizing healing—is the greatest kindness we can offer ourselves.
Let the world laugh. Let it misunderstand.
I choose to protect my truth.
