FOREVER

 Forever may be the biggest lie we adore the most. We are not even certain about the next moment, yet we believe in a “forever” that promises to last endlessly.

Are we really ready to deceive ourselves for such a lie? Perhaps we are. As humans, we willingly accept it, just to feel a little happiness. Maybe it is because we realize that happiness is priceless.

If these “forevers” truly lasted forever, how beautiful life would be. Or perhaps, along the way, we might begin to feel the quiet weight of monotony.

Time moves with its own relentless momentum. The warmth of love can slowly fade, strangers can become familiar, and the unexpected can gradually become expected.

So what is the truth behind forever? Is it merely a comforting illusion?

Perhaps it is. And yet, we still choose to believe in it.

Because we are human. And humans often fall in love with their own beautiful follies.
